Katherine Garver is most fondly remembered for her starring role as “Cissy” in the long-running CBS international television hit, Family Affair, Kathy Garver has also garnered critical acclaim in movies, stage, radio, voice-over animation, speaking engagements and audio book narration. Kathy graduated UCLA with a degree in Speech and returned to garner a Masters in theatre Arts.
Ms. Garver has added author to her long list of accomplishments. Her first book, The Family Affair Cookbook, is a tasty trip down memory lane with anecdotes and photos. Her following book, Surviving Cissy: My Family Affair of Life in Hollywood was released and sold out in three months -- a paperback version of her memoir was released in 2021. X-Child Stars: Where Are They Now was launched and has received great reviews and sales. Her next cookbook wasHoliday Recipes for a Family Affair. 2022 brought A Family Affair Scrapbook to her fans her newest book about celebrities and romance will be out this winter. Hmmm, what could that be about?
As a successful voice over talent, Kathy created the voice of Firestar in Marvel’s “Spiderman and his Amazing Friends” TV series as well as Pepper in “Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos” Dixie in “Dixies Diners,” and the list goes on. She has recorded over 75 audio books and created voices for characters in commercials, ADR and narration.
