Randy Kornfield

Randy Kornfield, A movie lover all his life, made shorts as early as high school and has continually written screenplays ever since.

From there, and for many years, Randy worked as a studio story analyst at MGM, United Artists, 20th Century Fox, Dreamworks and Sony’s Columbia Pictures.  Just a few of the varied films he helped develop include “Speed,” “Saving Silverman,” “Terminator: Salvation,” “Zombieland 1&2,” “Talladega Nights,” “District 9,” “The New Karate Kid,” “Miracles From Heaven,” “Don’t Breathe,” the “21 Jump Street” series, and installments of Marvel’s “Spider-Man” franchise, including offshoots like "Venom" and "Morbius."

As a professional screenwriter, Randy simultaneously began with B exploitationers for legendary low-budget kingpin Roger Corman (such as “Sweet Revenge”).  Made-For-Cable and TV movies followed (such as “The Secretary,” “Bloodknot” and “Incident At Deception Ridge”)

Randy is probably best known for being  responsible for creating the holiday classic Christmas comedy, Starring Arnold Schwarzenegger; “Jingle All The Way” and the culty horror parody “Eight-Legged Freaks.”

He’s also written or been hired to rewrite projects at Fox, Disney, Paramount and several independent houses, including ongoing overseas projects in New Zealand and the UK.

At the same time, Randy consults for independent producers,and mentors a number of up-and-coming screenwriters and filmmakers the world over.  After raising two sons and spending a lifetime in Southern California, Randy now enjoys a quieter life in a much greener Oregon with his wife, Sharon, helping to raise their grandson.
